Each Custom Handmade Bespoke Silk Necktie & Bowtie are hand crafted for each individual client with their taste in mind. The fabrics for our Custom Handmade Bespoke Neckties & Bowties that are made with Italian silk, comes from Como, Italy.
A custom necktie or bowtie from Ties by NELSON WADE® are handmade to the client requirements. We create the custom tie with the length/width/thickness & weight, whether it custom made as a 3,4,6,7 fold tie. Our custom handmade bespoke neckties are normally the average length of 57 1/2″ and usually are approximately 3 1/2″ wide. But, they can be made to any size.
Details, such as these, provide the customer the opportunity to have his new tie made uniquely crafted to his or her taste.
We then hand сυt, hand fold, hand sew nοt machine sewn each custom tie fοr the particular client.
A true custom bespoke handmade necktie or bowtie!
When you open the back of our custom bespoke handmade luxury neckties, you will notice the fine silk fabric extends across the entire rear blade of the tie providing an evenly weighted tie, which sits well against the chest. Then a long, thick strand of colored twine or silk thread are used to saddle-stitched and fasten the folds.

We also offer additional details for the custom bespoke ties at an additional cost, such as Contrasting Fabrics for the rear facing of the tie, Contrasting Stitching, Custom Matching Cufflinks, Embroidered Slogan, Name, Wedding or Anniversary Dates, Custom Matching Cufflinks, Custom Hand Stitched Matching Two Sided Pocket Squares.
We can also mix match fabrics from a custom made to measure suit or custom dress shirt to the rear face of the necktie.

You can select silk fabrics from our ever changing fabric collection below or we can make your custom bespoke handmade tie from fabric that you supply to us for your wedding or special event.
Another option, that we provide at Ties by NELSON WADE® is converting your old silk neckties to a custom handmade bowtie. Simply send to us your old neckties and we will create a new custom bowtie for you from the fabric that you have provide to us.
If, you do not see a particular color or style, we can special order Italian silk necktie fabric from a collection of 400 styles of fine Italian silk. Each fabric style may have 4 to 16 different base colors per style. So, when a customer request to have a custom bespoke necktie or bowtie made and does not see any fabric on line that he or she likes, we can send them a collection of available fabrics in the color and style that they maybe looking for. Fabric styles would include patterns of Checks-Argyles / Classic / Dots / Fancy / Flowers / Paisley / Solids / Stripes.
Necktie Tailoring Service:
Our average necktie length is 57 1/2″ length. If you wish, that you would like to purchase one of our neckties and have it shorten. We would be happy to do so for you. Our required time is 1-3 working days. Our fee is $12.00 each. If you wish to have your own existing neckties shorten. Our fee is $21.00 each. Shipping for up to 10 shorten neckties, $8.75 anywhere in the USA, 2-3 day delivery. For 10+ neckties, please contact us for shipping fees.
