Custom Handmade Necktie by NELSON WADE

At Ties by NELSON WADE, we have a few basic principles for daily tie care. First, always untie your necktie or ties by reversing the knot. Do not let your tie set in a knot, then hang the tie on your regular tie rack. By doing this, the wrinkles in the silk will relax and work themselves out.

For Spots & Stains…
Some ties are stain resistant, but always avoid the possibly of STAINS or SPOTS.

Stains or spots can be your worst nightmare if it’s your favorite necktie. But if you get a stain on your tie, address it right away, dab a little seltzer water for water soluble stains.

For Oil based stains, use talcum powder as soon as possible and dry cleaning your tie would be only as a last resort.

If you need to have your tie professionally cleaned, always check with your dry cleaner prior to having them clean your stained necktie, that they can clean your necktie without damaging the silk!

For Travelers…
At ties by NELSON WADE, we recommend to our clients who are always on the go traveling, to roll up necktie and store it in a spare set of shoes or fold it into quarters or dry storage section of your suitcase.

When you have your shower at the next destination. Take it out and hang your tie with your custom suit from NELSON WADE in the bathroom for the steam to work out the wrinkles.
