Italian Handmade Luxury Neckties from NELSON WADE usually are approximately 3 1/2" wide and are created as a thicker three fold necktie. The interior lining is made of thick 100 % Italian wool.

When you open the back of our handmade luxury neckties, you will notice the fine silk fabric extends across the entire rear blade of the tie providing an evenly weighted tie, which sits well against the chest. Then a long, thick strand of colored twine or silk thread are used to saddle-stitched and fasten the folds. Saddle stitching is a hallmark sign of old world workmanship.

At Ties by NELSON WADE, we also provide six fold neckties. In Italy, this tie is commonly called a Seven Fold Tie. A traditional unlined Seven fold tie is generally constructed with one piece of silk. Seven folds often come without necktie interlining or self tipping on the interior back side of the lower portion of the necktie. A unlined seven fold necktie usually does wrinkle and is not wrinkle resistant, as an handmade wool lined six fold necktie. Majority of our six fold Italian handmade silk neckties are lined with Italian wool which provides adds great body and weight.
