At Ties by NELSON WADE, a custom handmade tie is a necktie that you choose the fabric, usually fine silk or very fine wool, the type of construction of the necktie, shape, the length and width. We will ask you questions such as, do you prefer a light, medium or heavy weight tie.
We use very luxurious Italian 100% wool interlining for our custom handmade ties unless our clients have a special request for the tie’s weight or thickness.

What is the difference between a Custom Handmade Tie and a Bespoke Handmade Tie?
The term “Bespoke” is been used more and more often today, it is a traditional British term which means that a certain piece of fabric is spoken for. So, a bespoke handmade necktie is exactly the same as a custom handmade tie. Another distinction of the term “Bespoke”, is that when an item is made for a client, that the item has been custom made with all options possible as well as a pattern specially created for the client.
